With the support of Astana International Financial Center, the company Chapter Zero Kazakstan was founded in Kazakhstan. This organization is part of the international Climate Governance Initiative, operating in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF). 

Chapter Zero Kazakstan's primary mission is to promote the adoption of climate governance among chairmen, non-executive and independent directors of leading companies in the oil and gas sector, by providing them with resources to improve their skills and knowledge in the field of climate governance and combating climate change. With more than 100,000 members, CGI is active in 71 countries, playing a key role in global efforts to combat climate change.

On March 28, 2024, the official launch of the global initiative on climate change in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chapter Zero Kazakhstan, is planned. This event represents an important step in combating climate change and promoting sustainable business development in Central Asia.

The event will present the core principles of Chapter Zero and its role in the global context of climate change, with the participation of high-level officials, government representatives, the business community and experts in the field of climate governance. The event will include speeches, panel discussions and the opportunity to exchange experiences among participants.
